I'm new to programming, currently learning python with MIT on-line course. Are there any good maths book for entry level computer scientists(nothing hardcore for now)? With problem sets, explanations, solutions and maybe even some pseudo code showing application?

That's a hard question to answer without some indication of current level of mathematics training. Can we assume that you know arithmetic? Algebra? Geometry and trigonometry? Calculus? What do you know about logic? – Caleb Aug 13 '11 at 20:02
@Caleb I studied maths in college/high school and did quite good. At university I studied social science subject and since then forgot almost everything I learned. – damian Aug 13 '11 at 20:13

I would recommend Khan Acedemy, The best education website for Math i have ever seen. http://www.khanacademy.org/

@Job: Agree, his videos are boring and take too much time to watch. Same content is mostly a three minutes read. But the practice section is quite nice. – thorsten müller Aug 14 '11 at 7:18

I would start where you left off or a bit before. E.G. if the last math class you took was calculus start with a pre-calc or calc book. If it was Trig, start with trig and work into calc. I don't have particular examples but most will work I'm sure.
