PS: I mean... stories, not Technicals books, sorry for my bad English.

Cryptonomicon is about the cryptography in WWII done by the main character's father, and the main character (a programmer) does lots of cryptographic coding that gets narrated as well. At one point the main character must break some encryption using a PC that people are observing as he programs, without letting them see the solution. Sometimes so ridiculous that it's funny but I enjoyed it fairly well. |

Charles Stross involves programming and programming humor in a lot of his writing. Halting State, in particular, deals with hacking in MMORPGs. Vernor Vinge is a CS professor and themes related to technology and programming often come up in his code. Many developers like Neal Stephenson, though his focus is more on math and crypto rather than programming. |

One that comes to mind is Douglas Coupland's Microserfs. It's about corporate feudalism at Microsoft told from the point of view of fictitious developers. Apparently Coupland has written a newer one along the same lines called jPod, but I haven't read that yet. |
