Programmers Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional programmers interested in conceptual questions about software development. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I would love to learn from computer game programmers about how to program a tiles-based scrolling. Now, in order to find these programmers, it could be interesting, to pose a contest or challenge on tiles-based scrolling (Innocentive.com does this for more complicated problems). Does anyone know where I could post my personal contest for programmers?

You may want to re-phrase your title into a more specific question. :) – limist Oct 9 '10 at 20:10
Poseid, wherever you post let me know, I will follow your posts :-) – Geek Oct 10 '10 at 4:37
I also found this: refactormycode.com which comes close – poseid Oct 10 '10 at 8:29

www.CodeChef.com and SPOJ (You'll need to send an email to enable the "Problem Setting Privilege")

Scarky is new, you could try it out.

And another one, i can't remember right now...

SPOJ looks matching quite a lot to the question I had in mind. Do you know who / what kind of people are participating in this? Is it to test a system or to teach programming? – poseid Oct 10 '10 at 10:30

Try TopCoder, http://www.topcoder.com/ which seems to be closest to what you're looking for.

thanks. quite close indeed, but not sure how to pose my challenge there, or to see challenges in graphical programming. – poseid Oct 9 '10 at 20:20
