Programmers Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional programmers interested in conceptual questions about software development. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Looking for suggestions/requirements for a website for a local programmer user group, and the resulting feedback of other commenting on answers. Examples of an existing site would be nice, but not required.

There are either too many possible answers, or good answers would be too long for this format. Please add details to narrow the answer set or to isolate an issue that can be answered in a few paragraphs.If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

Have you considered a wiki? –  Zoot Oct 14 '11 at 13:55

@blunders Check out dhmn.net/wiki for a pretty good implementation of a wiki. –  Zoot Oct 16 '11 at 17:12

Here's the web site for SHARE, one of the oldest user groups for IT professionals using IBM mainframes.

You don't have to have all of the sections that this web site has, but you can consider adding them as needed.

  • About SHARE
  • Events
  • Members
  • Volunteers
  • Vendors
  • Discussion
  • SHARE eLearning
  • SHARE Store
