Programmers Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional programmers interested in conceptual questions about software development. It's 100% free.

I know this is long-shot question but if there's anyone making money from donations, would you share how much you're making from which service/website?

+1, good question, i hope mods here don't close it with 1 vote –  user774411 Oct 20 '11 at 9:19
This is a survey type question. It's going to get closed. –  Kevin D Oct 20 '11 at 9:21
@MoeSweet As Kevin notes, your question is off topic. Questions on programmers.se should have practical, answerable questions based on actual problems that you face. Check out the faq on what's considered on topic. That doesn't mean your question is bad or uninteresting, just that programmers.se is not the best place to ask it. –  Yannis Oct 20 '11 at 9:24
@MoeSweet I would suggest you edit the question in the following ways. Provide more information which platforms you want information from( Android/iOS/Windows). Ask for information sources/studies that would give you what you want. This makes the question more answerable, and of more use to more people for longer. –  Kevin D Oct 20 '11 at 9:36

I strongly believe the distribution must be a long tail one. That is, almost everybody makes almost nothing, but a few lucky ones make a lot. Therefore there's no such thing as "typical" income.
