I would like to learn more about robotic mobile, could anyone recommend some easy and stable one?

EDIT If possible in C, C++ or Java as programming languages. It could run in linux or windows.

I found the easiest is to use <artificialrobotics.com>'s AR with Microsoft RDS simulator. – user65757 Sep 21 '12 at 8:15

I think the Player Stage Project would be worth a try.

You would maybe getter better answers if you would give more details about what you want to do and what experience you have. Which language do you want to use?

I used Player Stage in an undergrad mobile robotics course some years ago, during a period of refresher work while unemployed. It works. I don't remember any quirks or weirdnesses. – John R. Strohm Sep 21 '12 at 10:13

Webots can be an alternative it is a bit pricey though. I used it at university it was stable and pretty easy to get going. Has support for a good amount of different languages.

Also Microsoft has a tool called Robotics Developer Studio. I don't have any experience with it so i can't say much.
