  1. Is there an API/framework for building rich client apps in Perl?

  2. If 1. is no, why do you think that is?

  3. What would it take to enable rich client development on various windowing platforms (MSFT, X11, MacOS etc.)? I.e. how can Perl gain access to visual components within the OS, like for example JVM does via Swing?

TK is occasionally coupled with perl for gui interface. O'Reilly has two books on the subject. – MichaelT Nov 19 '12 at 20:07

Perl Gtk:

I used it for a couple of small projects. It's well maintained and reasonably usable.
