I recently scored an summer internship with a pretty big company, but the problem is, most of my programming experience is quite constrained to personal projects and academics.

The position is for analyzing performance on chipsets and optimizing them.

That said, I have had a class on computer architecture, that's taught me certain things like pipelining, caches, virtual memory; but does anybody know anything else I can do to make myself more prepared for this summer?

Basically emphasis on performance, power optimization, multimedia and graphics. What topics should I learn/review for this internship?
