To me this seems like a really poor idea. I've used quite a bit of Java's "cross platform" application frameworks and it all sucked. I'm sure things are better than they used to be when people are making this cross platform frameworks but the differences between iOS, Android and Windows Phone is so drastic... :P
What do you guys think about this? No one at my company has any experience with any of the mobile development frameworks. We're starting basically from scratch. I know a bit about iOS, a few people know a bit about android but it amounts to little.
I'd hate to see us settle in on some poor quality framework and be stuck with it for a long time because it's "what we know". We have a TON of expertise in web development, so some people are thinking PhoneGap (http://phonegap.com/) is a good choice.
Would love some input from some experts :D
