It was hard to title, let me be more explicit:
Basically I'm an decent programmer with a wide breadth of knowledge but very, very little depth and very little experience. I'm essentially a beginner; I'm three years in.
Something I'd like to find that I think would help me understand software design a LOT is sort of like a journal authored by a software developer (or a team of developers) as they create a piece of software- be it an open source framework, a text editor, a plugin, anything.
I want to have an insight into their mind as to how they went about the whole process from beginning to end, from Day 1 to publishing-- where they started and why, the general path they followed, what techniques they implemented and why, etc, through the entire process.
I've looked but can't find any such thing. Does anyone know of anything?
