I started a project that I knew was going to be tough and difficult, but I wanted a challenge and something to keep my mind at work. I have now been on this project full time for about a month a bit and it seems that I have far underestimated the toughness of this project. It is a native C++ project and I have definitely underestimated it in terms of difficulty.
So much so that I have lost my motivation to carry on, as I find it is going too slow and I lose interest. I am finding C++ to be a fascinating language, and I've learnt a lot, but I am finding it hard to keep going on only small amounts of progress.
How do you keep going when you find a project to be much harder then originally expected and you find yourself losing your motivation, as it just seems impossible to get right?
