I'm having some doubts about what kind of the license i can set for my open source project.
I wrote a small open source library to make developers life easier. All classes has original code wrote by me, except one class. That specific class has some parts of the code that i ported from 'C' to C#. I added original code copyright notice and original author name in the top of that class and make note that some parts of this code were ported from the original source code by me (a link to the original source code page is also provided). Ported code is mostly extended and changed. The original 'C' source code was released under MPL.
Original source code: MemoryModule.c
Ported source code: DynamicNativeLibrary.cs
The question is, can i release my open source library under the MIT license or it has to be MPL?
If no, how's py2exe released under the MIT license when they also use MemoryModule.c in that project?
