I'm aware of JavaOne etc but don't think I can persuade my Boss to pay for a trip to San Francisco. So I was wonder if anyone knew of, or had attended any UK based conferences for Java Developers that they would reccomend?

The LJC organise several conferences a year, the most recent one being a very successful Open Conference. We plan to hold more ~150 person open conferences next year. JAX London is a major conference that the LJC is helping support. QCon London is another major conference |

There is a conference held in Glasgow that is free. It looks quite popular and also covers an interesting variety of topics. |

Not a Java-only conference, but by far the best conference for Java programmers in the UK IMO is the ACCU Conference near Oxford. 2011 conference is April 13-16. It's the only UK conference I go to. |
