Where can I still buy Visual Studio 2008 in Canada? I see it on eBay but I'm not sure how to tell if it's legit.

The express edition is still available for free from the msdn website. – Carra Jan 12 '11 at 23:19

If you have an MSDN subscription, you can still download full versions of Visual Studio 2008 directly from MSDN Subscriber Downloads. – Robert Harvey Jan 12 '11 at 23:36
@Carra and @Robert Harvey why the answers as comments? – MIA Jan 13 '11 at 1:02

@Jim Leonardo: Because they are good tips, but don't quite answer the question. – Sergio Jan 13 '11 at 1:20
@Sergio - but it denies OP the opportunity to check it as the answer because it may have been sufficient for their needs. OP seems to just want a legit copy, any means for doing so could be the answer. Why be bashful about putting it as an answer? – MIA Jan 13 '11 at 1:29

It appears to still be available through Amazon (I checked the Canadian Amazon as well as the US). As others who hate putting answers in answers and prefer comments instead have pointed out: MSDN. It will likely be available via MSDN for quite some time as MS keeps usually older versions there until they sunset support.

Of course you have to buy an MSDN subscription that gets you access to older versions. The MSDN pro level gets you that access if you care for it if I recall correctly.

Amazon doesn't have standard, but it has the rest. – FigBug Jan 13 '11 at 14:42
MSDN has a lot of products well past sunset; I still see Windows 3.1 on there... – Billy ONeal Aug 12 '11 at 23:41
