Programmers Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional programmers interested in conceptual questions about software development. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Contracting is fairly common, so I imagine that there's some pre-fab templates for software contracting agreements out there. I'm looking for one that I modify for my needs, pass through my lawyer and supply to clients.

Does anyone know of any resources available?

SnOrfus: is it for consultants and/or contractors right? Not a software factory fixed price project template. –  user2567 Jan 21 '11 at 18:05

When I was researching software contracting, I read a lot of books from Nolo. Some of the material overlap among different books. They were easy to read and were a great resource. One book on contracting had an appendix with several contract templates, along with a CD with templates in RTF.
