There's no way to do that at the moment unfortunately. I would suggest you add some sort of optional registration on the iPhone app, and offer the Mac app for free to those customers through a download outside the Mac App Store. |

The easiest way to do it would be to give you iphone users a private link and a reg key to get their free version and keep the app paid on both the stores. As far as I know, the stores are independent of each other. |

I have actually found an answer which doesnt need secure hosting/login etc. I will have 2 version of the mac app. version a will be hosted at app store for x USD. version b will be host at my own ftp for free. everybody can download it BUT the app wont start if you enter a wrong key. The unique key is generated from the iPhone. for security reasons I wont mention how the security code is generated. But I will help other with this kind of question! anyway thanks for inspiring me to solve this problem!:D |

The only way to give away a paid app for free on either the Mac or iOS app store is to use a promo code. But unfortunately, you can only generate 50 codes per version. |
