Programmers Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional programmers interested in conceptual questions about software development. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm new just about everything 'Apple' with the exception of owning an iPhone and iPad for over a year.

I have 15+ years on Wintel platforms w/ C/C++/C# experience, so Obj-C doesn't scare me. I recently purchased a Mac Book Pro and have XCode 4, but I've noticed most online tutorials (at least that I can find) are still geared for XCode 3.x.

My question, does anyone know of any online tutorials (text or video) geared around XCode 4? The only ones I'm aware of are on developer.apple.com. While good, those seem to assume you're transitioning from XCode 3.x.

Thanks

Well, we are transitioning to Xcode 4 aren't we? Has it been out a week yet? :-) –  Bo Persson Mar 21 '11 at 18:54

As I said, I'm new and didn't bother (shame on me :P) to check it's release date. I grabbed it 7-8 days ago. –  DevSolo Mar 21 '11 at 19:24

The Apple WWDC (WorldWide Developers' Conference) recorded all their sessions and made them available to registered iPhone developers. There's a number of them dedicated to 'What's new in XCode 4' and associated features. I can't remember if you need to pay the $99 registration fee to get them or just sign into the Apple Developer Center with your Apple ID. They are delivered through iTunes.

You just need a free developer account (you go via the website, then you get a link to iTunes). I did this when the presentations came out. –  Henno Brandsma Mar 21 '11 at 19:26
