Can anyone point me (.NET by career, primarily Ruby by hobby) in the right direction(s) for learning how to write a Jenkins plugin? I'm looking specifically at build summary information and trend graphs from PartCover stats.

I'm not worried about being able to find my way around Java, though I don't want to have to learn everything about it before I attack the problem.

I remember seeing a Tweet that as of a couple of days ago, you can actually write Jenkins plugins in Ruby. –  Jörg W Mittag Mar 31 '11 at 17:55

Not sure if you found this already, but looking through their wiki, they have a section of extending Jenkins, and a plug in tutorial.

Take a Look here for a good Overview of Jenkins plugins, the wiki is actually pretty helpful. If anything it's a good start.
