I'm asking this question because Oracle has decided not to give hardcopy certificates for all Sun certifications

Is this good or bad? and does any employer ask for the certificate itself?

If an employer ever asks you to prove that you have a certificate (and some will, because people DO lie about these things) that you list on a resume for instance, giving them a web address (and maybe a login) just won't do.

You should be able to print one out though.

Oracle said that they won't verify the certification unless I log on as the certificate holder, and are the certificates I print reliable? I mean those can be forged, right? – Mahmoud Hossam Sep 28 '10 at 11:48
@Phobia: They can be forged, but you have to work with what you've got. If they REALLY want to drill down to prove that you got it then give them the PDF/digital version. – Steve Evers Sep 28 '10 at 21:05
