Programmers Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional programmers interested in conceptual questions about software development. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Do any of the programmers/developers here know of a forum explicitly for work-from-home developers? I'm looking for a site that will allow me to network with other developers that work from remote locations (like their home) for their job. If this isn't the correct place to ask this question, please forgive me. I considered that it might be relevant to other programmers that work from home, like myself.

ah what the heck I'll pimp my own site theitninja.co.uk – Darknight Jul 18 '12 at 8:25
You mean a collaboration portal? We use a lot of SharePoint, TFS and Lync to communicate to eachother. Some people sit next to eachother, some at home, some at a different office, etc. – Jan_V Jul 18 '12 at 18:54

I recommend freelanceswitch.com. It has a ton of stuff for freelancers (who generally work from home), and will likely have, or know, good forums for open discussion.

If you find the forum your looking for on that other website, can you post the answer here as well? I'm also curious. – Jeff Welling Jun 28 '11 at 7:14
