The IEEE Certified Software Development Associate is a certificate designed for students in the final year of a bachelor's degree program in software engineering or computer engineering, recent graduates of software engineering and computer engineering programs, and non-degree software professionals with more than two years of experience.

This certificate is the entry-level version of the IEEE Certified Software Development Professional certification. It emphasizes a competency in software design, construction, testing, quality, professional practice, process models and methodologies, and the mathematical, computational, and engineering foundations of software development.
