@Job The employer's social value (which to some dubious, while to others admirable) has no relevance to my value to the employer. There is NO correlation. I agreed to contribute, be passionate about the job, and grow my career north. But I am NOT. Every time I read news or do something that is NOT conducive to the business, I steal. Unfortunately, I still A LOT.

Sir, I have programmed in C++ in some shape and form -- via work assignments, work projects, newsgroups -- for the last 11 years. Learning (re-learning) is not an issue. Getting excited about it, programming, math, engineering, is at the TOP OF THE LIST for me right now.

My hobbies are somewhat irrelevant to my line of work. MMA training, improv theater ( though it did improve public speaking skills). I started going to tech meetups to get my feet wet as to what's happening out there.

@Job: I assure that, while my weeks are sometimes hell, that's NOT what broached this subject. It's been sitting inside me for years, and I just cant hold it anymore. My thinking is that I slowly become irrelevant (skill wise), losing motivation to learn, and probably defrauding my employers by committing all my potential.
