comment What's the best license for my website?
+1 for check with a lawyer. Any comment we make is pure speculation and could lead down the wrong path.

comment Do you use Mathematica during the software development process?
No. Never used it, never needed it. I imagine it would depend upon the type of development you're doing, though.

comment How do you convince management to throw away a prototype?
Don't show the kids a shiny toy and they won't be able to play with it. Seriously, make it uglier, or something, make them NOT want it but still show what you're trying to express.

comment Source code used when supplying this to customer
@Jeff O: I don't think @egil means to leave out portions of the code that are required to make it function (though I could be wrong). I think what's meant is, "How do I not give away everything I know so that they never need to consult with me again?" I don't see anything unethical about providing the customer everything they need but also allowing for at least the possibility of doing future business with them.

comment What do you do about content when someone asks you to build a website
@Jon If you're trying to make a one-size-fits-all for every customer you'll ever have, you're going to give yourself a headache (and have an overly-bloated platform) very quickly. Doing things this way is why a lot of web sites out there look very "cookie cutter". Nothing beats a site built exactly to your client's specs (and gathering specs is a large part of your job in building something for them).

comment Finding the time to program in your spare time?
Oh, absolutely. Just recognize that you've made your choice, whatever it may be. There's no such thing as "I don't have time for that." There're only choices to make.

comment Am I too young to be worrying about college right now?
On a side note, you're probably one of the more articulate 19 year olds I've read anything from in quite a while. Communication is a good portion of the battle and you're obviously well-read enough to be able to write effectively. Kudos.
