+1. This is the real-life answer. To emphasize the point: no one on your team defined the "master" branch, the git system did. For anything important, stick to branches that someone on your team has defined.

@Kaerber - the nitpicking is the edge case, and the edge case is important here. The list and the tuple are both iterable. If your function's job is to return an iterable, then that's great, it returns that one type. But if I think it returns an object with an append() method, or sort(), etc, there's a big difference between list and tuple.
