comment Get 100 highest numbers from an infinite list
But you can also keep the lowest of your 100 numbers, then you can also decide whether you need to insert in O(1). Then only when you insert a number, do you have to search the new lowest number. But that happens rarer than deciding to insert or not, which happens for every new number.

comment Annual Review: what hard data should a developer bring?
I recommend keeping track of what noticeable things you've done, like: coming up with a good solution to some problem, helped out your colleagues on different occasions, delivered high quality (low bug count) when a milestone was near, or other similar examples that connect to some criteria over which the assessment is made.

comment Would adding award points or game features to workplace software be viewed poorly amongst the programming community?
Oooh, this sounds like that cool online game StackOverflow and related spin-offs. Go for it!

comment Can you be a manager and a programmer at the same time?
I think this only works, if the manager/programmer is great. In most cases this fails, just like in Martin Wickman's answer.

Well, even though some parts are written in other languages, the core parts are written in C++.
