Are performance and salary reviews *really* harmful? It's interesting then to me that Google does Quarterly reviews. I think they have the purpose part covered and tons autonomy, especially with the 20% time privileges. Still there's other reasons for assessing performance than penalizing poor performers or adjusting salaries. Sometimes you just need to make adjustments and adjust roles, goals and strategies. |
