comment Chasing DirectX versions
What instability? DX10, DX11, and DX11.2 are all stable after you make the intial move. You shouldn't have to rewrite anything DX11 contains DX9 compatability within it. If you want to use the new functions that something else entirely.

comment Word for when variables are not null? Naming a method
If an object reference is not null, then its just simply not null, and as an object reference. Since a NULL reference is bad, you might consider changing the flow of the code, to never accept a NULL condition unless thats a valid state. If it is then thats something else entirely.

comment Is reading+modifying existing code better than making your own?
You have to understand the code. If you use it without understanding it, when it doesn't work, you will be given a wierd look when you can't fix the code yuo "wrote"

comment Going through The C Programming Language K&R in Visual Studio
@AdamZuckerman - Which was sort of my point. C++ can compile C syle C++ code. People often do not understand that simple fact. Actually you also made this mistake. VC++ has two compilers one is a C compiler and the other is a C++ compiler. Your right the managed code is typically called C++/CLI

I don't agree that C++ extends C because the two languages have diverged by miles C++ is really a replacement to C additionally VSC++ is also managed

The simple solution. A player has a tab also, one tab, then you can use the same method to handle the player inventory and bank inventory.

comment Why was C# made with “new” and “virtual+override” keywords unlike Java?
There are times you want to override the method and times when you don't. There are times when you want to override the method and do something entirely different or do something additional. This is the reason C# virtual works the way it does. You decide exactly how that method should work.

comment How can I hide my signature in a program?
@exizt - Professors are worried about cheating. Unless the professor says you can work with another student they normal have an expectation that you won't burrow code from your peers. If you need with the program there is an expectation of you going to the TA and/or professor not your peers.Which is the reason I suggested keeping your work to yourself until you recieve a grade. While its all warm and fuzzy the author wants to help his peers its not his problem they can't do the work without help. He can help just don't have evidence of such a deed If he wants to sit there and explain something

comment How can I hide my signature in a program?
@exizt - While this is a good idea after a school environment. I have my doubts that most formal situations within a school environment would accept this because in the end your still sharing your work with other students. Its best to leave your school work your own ( and yours alone ) until after you have recieved a grade for it.

comment Is it safe to generate client nonces using random number generator?
If you are using the MAC Address then the RNG isn't very random. You do understand this right? If this semi-random noise is not used for security then it should be fine.

comment How to develop line-of-business tablet apps as a .NET developer?
I will bite. What do you mean exactly by "client-side apps" because I took it has something very specific a year ago. Because I promise you I have written .NET 4.5.1 Windows Store/WinRT applications and published them to the store. I used C# if your wondering and the entire application is stored client side.
