comment Extreme Programming for a single developer
I'm pretty sure you have everything on your list that will make a successful project (assuming you have purposefully left out source control as it isn't necessarily part of XP). I am however pleased to see a single person project using a paradigm like Extreme Programming; these development methodologies are not only useful for team scenarios!

Can you think to these solutions or maybe expand on what the limitations are?

comment Over a million COBOL programmers in the world?
@vartec from my experience, any business area that has been in a bank for decades will still have a COBOL/mainframe/legacy system somewhere. As new business areas have been created (read:invented) they will have relatively new Java systems because these businesses were probably created after COBOL begain to drift into the mists of time.

comment Naming boolean field that is a verb
@dnhang if it's your code, you can call the methods whatever you like, regardless of what the IDE calls them when it auto-generates.

comment How do you unit test private methods?
+1 I completely agree with testability over encapsulation.

While reflection will enable you to test private methods, it is not good for detecting uses of them. If you change the name of a private method, this will break your test.
