I love all typed functional languages:

I think in Haskell, I script in F#;

I code in OCaml, and'll always love SML

comment Is it considered bad practice to compile into Javascript as a matter of language preference?
I know of several high-level languages that can be compiled into JS (F#, OCaml, C#, I think Google had a Java->JavaScript compiler). Sounds completely fine, as long as it is well-debugged and well-tested.

@Steffe The best developers I know are all self-educated, but they got a degree or two while working (or between jobs) to get better jobs (and better pay).

comment Phonetic programming language?
@MattFenwick I typed 14 hours a day, my mother talks 8 hours a day. My fingers ache every few months, nothing that stops me. Her voice hurts after longer than usual days, and is "lost" every few weeks.

comment How can I translate ML code to F#?
you can actually compile most OCaml code using the F# compiler - the four points you've mentioned make it quite impossible to compile OCaml using the F# compiler, especially the functors limitation of F#.

comment Usage of “Multi-Paradigm Languages” in commercial applications
1. It is called F# (except in file names and urls, because # has a different meaning there). 2. SO doesn't appreciate opinion questions, you should ask questions like this in Programmers. Someone will probably move it for you this time (I can't).
