Senior web app developer specializing in ASP.Net, MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SQL Server. I am having a great time learning and using all of the new techniques and technologies involved in web apps, responsive/adaptive design, and mobile- and tablet-friendly web apps.

I generally work as a contractor on projects because I have a strong preference for new development.

I appreciate the opportunity to share knowledge with other professionals here on SO.

I wonder how you feel about this in 2013?

comment Am I supposed to remember code from the book I'm using to learn?
1) You will remember the code a lot better if you actually write it. Do the examples in the book, don't just read them. 2) I keep an organized collection of code snippets for future reference so I don't have to remember every little detail, which is impossible.

comment How can I really “wow” an employer at an interview?
@mxmissile, hmmm maybe it has something to do with the question being closed. If you Google that exact phrase (dealbreakers for new programming jobs), you'll find a couple of links, including this, which redirects to the SO page: google.com/…

Thanks, @mxmissile. Here's a link that works today. Odd that the question was closed despite having 273 upvotes. I would've migrated it to the Programmers site instead.

comment Are questions about the Singleton pattern a good way to evaluate a job applicant?
If you asked me to write something as silly as fizzbuzz, I would end the interview myself.
