comment Ensure that each class has only one responsibility, why?
For the same reason you have classes AT ALL.

comment Why are there so few comments in C/C++ code?
While I agree that bad code and bad comments should be eliminated, I still like Javadoc style of code. At least give one sentence simple description, tell me what input variables mean, what result the method can return, and what kind of an exception I can get. Since this style of comments integrates well with IDEs, I really find it indispensable.

@Cthulhu let me quote myself: "in those situations when you need something to have global access point".

comment Structure vs. programming
You are not supposed to follow it. If a method is called "changeUserName(string)", do you need to follow inside to see what it does? That is the point of short and well defined methods.

comment What skills are essential for professional programming that are not commonly taught in schools?
Yes, but that kind of a specialist is never going to open their own shop. If your dream is to be a CEO of your own startup sometime in the future, you will need a HUGE array of skills.

comment How do I locate Uncalled Functions?
It's wort to note that this will only work in compiled languages, and not interpreted ones like PHP. Also, it's impractical for any large project, as it could take you days to actually comment/uncomment all the methods, and check them.

comment Is it necessary to write a javadoc comment for EVERY parameter in a method's signature?
NetBeans and Eclipse will, too.

comment Should a senior developer refuse to take paper exams during an interview?
"It doesnt tell you about their judgement, or breadth of industry knowlege, or ability to handle angry customers, or ability to lead others." Well, written exam is hardly meant for that. Written exams are usually taken when there is a large number of applicants (like a 100+), and you simply need to weed out those who can't write a tree search or something similar. The interview where you ask "real" questions comes after that.

comment How can I deal with the cargo-cult programming attitude?
@JeffK you can always remove parentheses, Wiki redirects properly. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karel_programming_language works fine.
