Why do websites have to ask language and country when the browser can tell them that? So basically, the accept-language information in the header and geolocation via IP address can conflict. So now my opinion is that websites prioritize the accept-language data. Also, companies might want to say "look at all this work we put into internationalizing our website, aren't we special?" |
