Software Management Tools for Agile Process Development +1: especially in the beginning OP ought to aim to develop local practices independently of the 'help' that off-the-shelf solutions provide. Later, find a tool which supports local practices. |

What's the difference between recursion and corecursion? But seriously, what's wrong with the Wikipedia explanation of these terms ? |

Should I change language to stop becoming stale? You're the Technical Director and you want to learn a new programming language ?!? That's what you hire grunts like me for. Upwards and onwards, learn management accounting, head for CEO. |

How do you learn a new programming language? As they say: real programmers write in Fortran whatever language they are using. |

Where do I find good example data? Are you serious ? Your employers won't let you use an existing fake database ? I pity the fools. But seriously you need to try very very hard, and very very smart, to convince them that you need access to at least the fake database if your redevelopment is to be a success. I guess you know this already and I'm just rubbing it in. |

Is 4-5 years the “Midlife Crisis” for a programming career? 4- 5, sorry, I thought it read 45 years and might promote some interesting discussion. You children :-) (32 years in, still not in crisis) |
