I work on the Netflix Open Connect content delivery network. In my past lives, I've worked on GIS applications, data mining, radiation sensors, and physics simulations. I've used technologies ranging from the trendy (Java, C#, and Scala) to the archaic (Fortran and AML).

comment Is writing comments inside methods not a good practice?
Inline comments are often needed to document "odd" code or algorithms that are working around bugs, problems, or poor design in other libraries. There is no way to make these "self documenting" and they are often inappropriate for the method comments.
