comment In WPF, should I base my converters on types or use-cases?
Certainly, the multibinding converter could be the best way for your scenario. There may be other scenarios where it's easier to put code in a ViewModel.

comment Productivity using .Net WPF for large ERP (LOB) desktop applicatons ~1500 forms\dialogs
@KonradMorawski You entitled to your opinion, of course, but it sounds a bit exaggerated. Paul Stovell's criticism is weak and superficial. I have found XAML far easier to work with and no more verbose than imperative GUI toolkits like Swing, Qt, and WinForms. I have not tried JavaFX or QML so I can't make any fair comparisons there though.

comment How do different technologies connect to form a web stack?
@Mawg: Are you referring to applets, or server-side Java? Nobody should use applets anymore. A form submission is just an HTTP POST, which follows the same pathway as what I described above.
