I'm a software/website developer working from home in Salt Lake City, UT. My current activities include developing websites like Black Belt Coder and Trail Calendar.

I hike each week with my German Shepherd Dog, Suki, and Border Collie, Sasha. My hiking blog is Hiking Salt Lake.

I know there are a lot of sharp programmers who hang out on stackoverflow.com. If you have some cool code you'd be willing to share, I would love to publish it on Black Belt Coder. In return, I can help promote your website(s). For original articles, I can also pay a modest fee. For details, check out our Paid Article Submissions page.

With this particular setup the projects would come to me, and I'd be more than happy to take on a small project right at the moment. For larger projects, I generally don't run into any difficultly.

+1 for a compromise between payments before and payments after the work is done.

Well, I think something like this could work. For example, if it was a company like PayPal, people would trust it. However, I'm not sure such a service exists, and imagine they'd want a percent if they did.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by automated acceptance tests? +1 on pre-paid hours, although I'm sure that could turn some customers off.
