comment Is there a point to including a “change log” in every code file when you are using version control?
Ug, worse still, I've seen people put dated comments on nearly every line they change in a file, not just in the header. :(

@Walter: Seems we had the same experience: I wanted to take "Computers 10" in high school but was required to take a 3-credit "Typing 10x" or somesuch. I'm sure much eye-rolling ensued. Yet that typing class was THE most valuable class I took in high school. Yeah, it was boring, yeah it was repetitive -- but I am quite sure I wouldn't have learned to touch type without being "forced" to. And the computers class? OMG what a joke...
