@Giorgio: Yeah, I have´t said that. And the Erlang creators didn´t know about "The Actor Model" until many years later, when they already created a similar thing. But the actor model is only a small piece of erlang´s fantastic concurrency support.

@greenoldman there is no such thing as "empty option exception". Try inserting NULL values into database columns defined as NOT NULL.
