How do you price your work? Yes, I think that being embarrassed about the price is a good way to go if you can bring yourself to go for it - I usually find that my "fair" assessment of a price is nowhere near as much as it ends up costing me in time. Realistically, every client needs to pay you enough to cover the fact that you're taking all the risk. |

Should a .NET, JavaScript and SQL Web App developer learn Perl? Yes, not my favourite either - especially for building larger systems as modularity is a challenge. However, it's much better now PHP 4 has gone and I've also started to find it's quite good for getting things going quickly. |
