@MathewFoscarini I should have made myself more clear. It sounds like you think the assignment is a strange trick question. It's not. The assignment is to write a relatively simple application that will supposedly be judged according to how well the code is written.

This is what I hate about job interviews... the luck involved in pleasing the interviewer's personal preferences. Maybe it should be standardized :)

There is no hard time limit, but just a note saying the assignment shouldn't take a decent programmer more than three hours. Would they really check my git log to make sure that I only spent three hours on it from commit #1 to the final commit?

@HABO I figured that would be another benefit of throwing the code on Github since I could document that in the README file. That way it would be cleanly displayed with the source and it wouldn't clutter up the email.
