Tabs versus spaces—what is the proper indentation character for everything, in every situation, ever? A space is a single column, unless you use 2 spaces to represent a column. Or 4. Or 8! |

mercurial or tfs for codeplex? One thing to add about Mercurial: you can host on bitbucket then do hg push https://hg01.codeplex.com/projectname and you get the entire changeset history replicated. It's far easier to use for 1-5 man FOSS projects than TFS |

Do you care if the person you're interviewing owns or contributes to Open Source projects? There's tonnes of OSS projects without test suites |

Do you care if the person you're interviewing owns or contributes to Open Source projects? The only problem flaw with this is you could've committed a changeset that broke the project horribly |

Is the “One Description Table to rule them all” approch good? Document databases like Amazon's SimpleDB, Couchdb and RavenDb take care of this kind of thing, sadly they're slow to take off |

Harmful temptations in programming re-phrase this to " We will come back and fix this next iteration " and it sounds so much more structured |

Does tweeting 9 to 5 hurt job applicants? Miguel de Icaza has 18,000 followers and only manages about 30 a day (today), and most of those are single line replies. I'd say the candidate is using it as a chat room and not for the technical benefits it can give for news. |

How do software projects go over budget and under-deliver? Migrate to programmers.stackexchange.com perhaps |
