comment Is it possible for an amateur to become a good programmer?
I started as an intern at a company in my local area while in school for an MIS degree. Within one semester I had far exceeded the entirety of the knowledge i gathered in school and on my own. In my view the most important thing a team provides you as an individual is guidance to get over those humps that seem impossible, there are times you hit a brick wall, and when your new you may not even know how to search for what your looking for or frame your questing in a way that someone could understand.
