Programmer, student, musician... not necessarily in that order.

comment Anyone code at a treadmill desk?
@FrustratedWithFormsDesigner Well, just wanted to make sure that I covered that base; I didn't think that it was answer material, hence it being a comment.

This probably isn't what you're looking for, mate, but a gym membership is a lot cheaper and would probably help you a lot more. I don't know about you, but I can barely listen to music when I code - having to walk and type AND think would completely throw me off.

comment Is there any benefit by switching from C# to Java?
If you want a lightweight and solid MVC framework, there's always Rails... as far as I know, the Rails community's in a bit of a talent crunch right now, and it's really easy to pick up - especially if you understand MVC. You might want to give it a shot to see if you like it.

comment I'm in over my head at my job. What should I do?
Upvoted the question, because I've been there. I am there, actually. Every single day.

comment Are There Any Programming Focused Notebooks?
@Ziv Yeah, I fold back a few pages until I feel like I've covered enough ground to copy back what I've missed and dispose of the rest... it really helps me to keep track of the 90,000 things that I'm working on over any given period of time.

comment I feel that my manager slows my work, how to deal with it?
@AdityaGameProgrammer Not necessarily. I can barely function when I'm working on a project and my boss (or client) is standing there, watching me work. It's nerve-wracking because I feel like I'm under constant scrutiny from someone who knows less about what I'm doing than I do. (OP, do you work for a software company? Is your manager a programmer, too?)

"Oh, I'm good with computers." "Really, what operating system do you use?" "Microsoft Word!" /facepalm

comment Do you spend your working hours on learning?
I spend a good deal of time on SE... half of the time, it's saving my life - and the other half I spend trying to participate in the community. Either way, it's an investment in my company's long-term goals, because I learn vital new things here every day.
