@CraigRinger As far as heavyness, it is heavy if you are comparing to nginx and guincorn, I agree it is better then it used to be, but compared to other languages it is heavy. I also never really liked maven, not sure why, it just felt over engineered compared to tools like ant. The fact that you need a tool like that to manage your dependencies is a red flag to me. Maybe it has gotten better since I last used it. But it is nice, that it is a viable workaround to the problem.

@CraigRinger I haven't used eclipse's dynamic web module or JRebel, so you you are right, it might be gone.
