Thanks for the feedback. Yeah every time I took a course or read examples the one writing the code always treated hard coding values as a shortcut but never to be used in production.

Web Forms does have benefits though. For example the thousands of ready to use controls for rapidly building web apps has been a plus to selling my customer on a website.

@syrion It really depends on the API. Some call them client ids, application ids, API key. Basically the code they give you that allows access to an API.

Yes I wish php would have some sort of main IDE, but I guess that would kill the very spirit of PHP being open source. Definetly a factor to consider.
