comment Using work time effectively: How to create code quickly?
Maybe i'm just a slow thinker, but i rarely feel limited by my typing speed (i type without looking, of course, but no touch-typing). I tend to assume that my thoughts are overcomplicated and should be refactored, when they need too much text.

comment What is a reasonable and secure password requirement for user registration?
@WayneM: One could choose a cryptic phrase, pin it on the monitor, and prefix it with an easy-to-remember, always-the-same 'classic' password.

When was the last time you decided which FS fits your specific needs? I'm more on the coding side than on operations, but i never saw such a decision. Especially, since there is often no real choice: MS->Ntfs. Linux: Ext(latest), maybe Reiser.

comment Are these signs of a bad developer?
@Skizz: i think, TCIAR should not be understand as "...says always the truth", but more as "...knows when he is satisfied"

actually, i think TCIAR is more successful than 'everybody else is wrong', but not as good as 'who cares who is right, just identify the problem', so the +1 may be undeserved.

comment Is TOS Necessary?
So, you say, if i do not explicitly say in my TOS that I personally forbid you to do whats already illegal, i would be liable? I know that lawyers have sometimes some strange ideas, but that seems a little far fetched. i mean, could you sue the subway company that owns the subway where a terrorist blows himself up, because it forgets to mention that "you are not allowed to use any of the company's property to illegal acts, especially, but not limited to, terrorism"?
