Sometimes your answers strike me as dismissive, but this one is just useless. I don't know whether you are trying to help here, but doing it badly, or if you are just talking to yourself. I could ask you what you mean by 'pure evil', but the beauty of the good answers above is that I don't need to start a conversation in order to learn something.

Well, it's true that Python has changed a lot since 2.0, but I don't know that it's changes have been more rapid than Ruby. But the Ruby folks I know speak positively about JRuby, where no-one I've encountered in the Python community talks about Jython. I've heard more about IronPython, and even PyPy.
