comment How to handle lookup data in a C# ASP.Net MVC4 application?
@RobertHarvey I'm wondering if that does not break YAGNI? I like to start with as simple as possible - hardcoded values, enums, etc. and if it really has rapidly changing values, bring in database table/editing/etc - because each additional table brings some complexity.

comment How to inspire an intern with programming?
@ThorbjørnRavnAndersen - I understand that I'm not perfect at this and I'm trying to get better, that is why I ask questions like this. Had no good mentor when I was junior, have nobody to learn this stuff from today, so it is trial and error.

I was thinking may be something working on appharbor.com - something simple enough, but useful for others - like decoding base64 string, because personally for me the best motivator is knowing that somebody is using my app

Well, it is kind of point of my question - CRUD applications isn't that interesting, I need to think of some small simple application that has more fun than CRUD :)
