What superstitions do programmers have? Looked at my Eclipse usage statistics one day, it was about 10 saves to everything else, including autocompletes |

Effectiveness of “what is your greatest strength/weakness” interview questions Worst I've been asked was what are my 3 greatest strengths & weaknesses. I could easily come up with 2 for either that didn't make me look like a shoddy employee, wasn't easy to come up with the third for either. |

What superstitions do programmers have? I know older Windows versions (98 comes to mind), in the desktop properties (resolution, background, theme, etc.) you would hit Apply to apply it for the current session. Reboot, and they're all gone, unless you'd hit OK. Good way of making sure you liked it before saving. |

Have you ever written anything that made you a lot more efficient (or want to)? How did you do entry? |

What's the most absurd myth about programming issues? @Anna Some are three years, like the one I took (and the extra year was where we learned most of the useful, high-level, information). And actually, some colleges can give out bachelor degrees--or can in Ontario, I can't speak for other provinces--but it's very specific, and quite regulated. |

What's the most absurd myth about programming issues? @Billy How about around here, where a college diploma means jack, but a university diploma will grant you everything? Both go to school, both are arguably better than the other, but there's a sociological difference |
