comment Is Bubble Sort the slowest sorting algorithm?
Ah, I understand your point now that I've read up on it. I imagined an intelligent version of bubble sort to be bidirectional, and that such a thing would still be called bubble sort, so thank you for clarifying that such an optimization has a different name.

If you only have 1 out of place element, bubble sort will put it in place in O(n) time.

comment What would be a good “umbrella” term for HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript and the like?
I also agree that it's perfectly reasonable to not consider JS a DSL. It started as a DSL, but has evolved out the "DS" part of it.

comment Where to start in developing a game engine as a web app
You might want to look at Unity. It's C#, not C++, but I believe it has web app publishing. You'll still be on the hook for the back end, but it may simplify your task greatly.

comment C++ why & how are virtual functions slower?
Often times, it's not that virtual calls themselves are slow, but that the compiler has no ability to inline them.

comment C++ - Constructor or Initialize Method to Startup
I often find that in situations where RAII doesn't seem to fit, the name "Initialize" itself is actually a misnomer. Often, one isn't initializing the object per se, but just setting a context.

comment When is a BIG Rewrite the answer?
I like this response, funny and true. I would like to add "quantifiably" right before "less." So many times, it's easy to make the claim, but it's important to be able to quantify the wasted time.
